As of yesterday, MARTOS Engineering is a Minority Business Enterprise through The New York State Department of Economic Development, Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD). The mission of the DMWBD is to promote equality of economic opportunities for MWBEs and to eliminate barriers to their participation in state contracts.
As a young and growing structural engineering firm, MARTOS looks forward to more opportunities for public projects throughout New York State, including the City of New York, which we received certification for in April of 2019. With our new MBE status, MARTOS has increased visibility to prospective buyers, including state agencies and municipalities. Our MBE status stems from our Principal and owner, Christian Martos having a Cuban heritage. Although we feel our product and high standards of design stand alone, we are pleased to be a part of this program and look forward to further expanding our business while serving our current and future private clients.
