As of this past April, MARTOS Engineering is a Minority Business Enterprise through New York City Small Business Services. The City of New York Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) Program expands opportunities for minority and women entrepreneurs to access government contracts and cultivate their businesses.
As a young and growing structural engineering firm, MARTOS looks forward to more opportunities for public projects throughout New York State. We expect to have certification complete for both the State of New York as well as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey by the Fall of 2019, as both applications are currently under review. With our new MBE status, MARTOS has increased visibility to prospective buyers, including City agencies. Our MBE status stems from our Principal and owner, Christian Martos having a Cuban heritage. Although we feel our product and high standards of design stand alone, we are pleased to be a part of this program and look forward to further expanding our business while serving our current and future private clients.
